NOIREROS : Healing Sexual Energy

The absence of pain is not the presence of pleasure.

So much time has passed since Black Sex has not been drowned in the sewage of abuse — like the sweat that dripped onto my great-great grandmothers back as she detached from her body. The only out of body experience her Black soul ever experienced.

Orgasms used to be a place of freedom, not escape.

My great-great grandfather faced the humiliation of being thrusted into submission, so all he knew of sex was to make his wife tap out — pounding her until she was defenseless; giving him ownership as she called out his name — like master taught him.

We think of the sexually traumatic ways we’ve been conditioned to engage in, as pleasure. When truthfully, we have no idea the divinity that dwells from intertwining with another spirit.

Let alone intertwining with our own.

On my journey of liberation, I had to address what I had and had not been taught about the nature of sex. I can’t recall my mother ever talking to me about what sex was, what pleasure was, or the spiritual responsibility that comes with it.

What I do remember, is sitting in church and learning that sex was taboo. That it only looked one way: a married man and woman. And that I should ask God to heal me from having sexual desires outside of marriage. I remember being taught that sex was something to be kept in the shadows of the darkness.

So as I entered my spiritual journey, the shadow work was intense — which is to be expected. No wonder the church is full of sex cults, men raping boys, church members have sex groups, and perversion!

It is unholy to suppress your flesh for your spirit, as we were all created from sexual energy. It is a sacred energy that keeps us immortal, and creates our DNA across the span of time.

Sex is an energy force that allows us to enter inside of spirit in order to relax our mind and body on such a deep level that we can heal ourselves, effortlessly.

My mother never told me that as a woman I am the keeper of this energy, and pleasure is mine. My body is not a walking portal for men to masterbate into.

My mother never told me that my feminine juices hold the power to hydrate the spirit and grow new life within all who may taste.

My mother did not tell me that as a woman, when I have sex I am giving my energy, and men are receiving it.

What my mother couldn’t tell me, is that my pleasure is my own responsibility — an act of self love for my body, my mind, and my spirit. She didn’t tell me these things, not because she didn’t want to, but because she didn’t know.

She didn’t know, because the Black church demonizes sex so heavily - due to its ties to white supremacy. But if only Black people knew how truly powerful sexual energy is - beyond our history of rape trauma and over sexualization - we would be able to awaken our Black peace, joy, divinity, and pleasure through the act of freeing ourselves through our own climax and orgasm.

Society and mass media has spread a message that sexual liberation reflects a sex life without intention. Doing it with whoever, whenever, wherever.

Unaware of the truth, we believe this makes us feel powerful and grown. But true power is demonstrated by the ability to discipline your energy; knowing how to control yourself. Sexual liberation is deeply embedded in mastering your personal pleasure, diving deep into what type of stimulation you need in order to reach a higher climax than just physically.

Seeing breast, booty, or whatever it is that turns you on, and immediately feeling aroused shows that you are programmed to the lower vibration of sex - a sexual nature taught to us through rape culture during Black enslavement.

It has been so long since the Black spirit has been truly free.

Free to experience sex outside of dominated abuse and procreation rape. But in recent times, we're returning back to what truly pleases us on a deeper level than just physically.

It is a privilege to be able to explore what ignites your sexual energy, and there is beauty in the journey of exploring what many things you can accomplish with that energy.
