Yes We Did: President Barack Obama's Most Iconic Moments While in Office

President Barack Hussein Obama is arguably the most iconic President ever. Eight years ago when I watched the first black man become the 44th President of The United States of America, I never imagined the day I'd have to see him leave office. I never imagined that once again I could be filled with so much emotion in regards to someone I'd never actually met. The past eight years have left me inspired, as Barack Obama and his family have so gracefully carried the honor - and burden - of being the first Black family in the White House.

Obama is responsible for initiating a great amount of change, not only in America, but throughout the world. While in office he helped create millions of jobs, boosted fuel efficiency standards, improved America's image abroad, reformed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and countless other policies that threatened basic civil rights - the list goes on. And while he didn't solve every single problem in the entire world, Obama gave us something no other president has ever given us before; responsibility. From his grassroots presidential campaign to his iconic Farewell Address, Obama not only promised change, he encouraged us to be the change we wanted to see in the world.
